As CEO of Velocix, David Sharpley is working to accelerate the company’s growth and expand its customer base around the globe. He believes “success is derived from hard work and a commitment to excellence in everything we do”. David is a veteran of the telecommunications software industry with more than 20 years of experience. He was most recently CEO of Incognito Software Systems, Inc. and has held senior executive positions with Amdocs, Bridgewater Systems, and Oracle.
Chief Financial Officer
Paul Cross heads up the global finance organization at Velocix. He believes in taking a hands-on approach and says, "a successful finance team works closely with a broad range of stakeholders to add value across all aspects of the business." Having held senior level finance positions with several technology companies, including Unit4, A10 Networks, Hewlett Packard, and 3Com, Paul has a wealth of industry and finance experience in strategic outlook, business development, and financial operations. Paul studied Business Management at the University of South Bank, London and is based in the UK.
Chief Marketing Officer
Jim likes to say “the best growth strategies are guided by strong customer relationships” and he has developed many valuable relationships in the video market during his 24 year career. Before joining Velocix, he held executive leadership roles at Nokia and Concurrent. With skills that span marketing, general management, and technology, Jim takes a broad approach to driving business growth. He has been quoted in major industry publications, including Multichannel News, Light Reading Cable, Heavy Reading, and CED on trends affecting the video industry. Jim is also on the board of the Streaming Video Alliance, an industry forum dedicated to helping solve the critical challenges facing the online video market.
VP, Sales - EMEA/AP
Anthony has led video business engagements since 2010. He likes to say “there is always a new way to engage your passion” and that passion has served him well over his 20 year career in the communications and media industry. He has held senior leadership positions at Lucent, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia, working on 3G and 4G Wireless and IP video solutions, before joining Velocix. With skills spanning business modeling, marketing, strategic planning and business development, he has a proven ability to bridge technology and commercial engagements to drive business success.
VP, Sales - Americas
Matt is responsible for all customer activity in the Americas, and is tasked with growing Velocix’s business throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Matt believes "strong sales relationships are built on trust." With more than 20 years of sales and marketing leadership experience in the telecoms and cable industry, including executive positions at Alcatel-Lucent, TiVo and Espial, Matt has established strong, trusting relationships with many of the world's top service providers. Matt has a proven track record of building highly effective sales teams that generate value by addressing the customer’s most pressing business problems. Matt is based out of Washington, D.C. and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Si heads up Velocix's product management organization and believes “satisfied customers are the best gauge of product success.” Before joining Velocix, he held senior leadership positions at Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent. During his 20 years in Telecommunications he has led world-class program and product organizations. With skills in product development, program management, operations and supply chain, Si has extensive experience in managing the complete product lifecycle.
VP, Development and Technology
Craig is responsible for product development and technology innovation. He believes "building best in class products is critical to driving higher customer satisfaction levels and growing market share." With more than 25 years of telecommunications experience, Craig is a hands-on professional committed to developing high-performance teams that deliver exceptional products. Prior to joining Velocix, he held senior leadership roles at Nortel, Bridgewater Systems, CENX and Amdocs.
VP, Maintenance and Managed Services
Cyril has a strong telecommunication background, having been in this industry for over 30 years. Cyril is a focused and results-oriented professional. He is a proactive problem solver. In his words: “a leader thinks and talks about the solutions. Followers think and talk about the problems.” Before joining Velocix, he was based in Singapore leading the Asia-Pacific and Middle-East Video business for Nokia. He has held technology and leadership positions with Thomson, Matra, Nortel and Nokia, driving worldwide engineering, program and customer management organizations.
VP, Professional Services
Pav believes “good isn’t good enough” when it comes to serving customers. He began his career in consulting where he led video change programs for top European telecommunications, cable and broadcasting companies. He also worked in video at BT before joining Nokia and becoming part of the leadership team. Pav has led organizations tasked with systems integration, program delivery, strategy, testing, business development, and product innovation.
